Welcome to Spring Session @ NDNU! I am looking forward to discussing technology applications in education with you for the next five sessions. The purpose of this post is to overview the basics of this course’s sessions and give you the “lay of the land” as pertains to this course.
First, all of the information for this course is contained in this blog. Should you need to find something just enter the appropriate term in the “search” field. Also, use the “tags” located to the right or the drop-down menu at the top of this blog.
Next, all of your information will be posted on your own blog. This includes your reflections, checklist items and your final project. There is no need to email me with content or assignment information. (Of course you may email me with questions as needed.)
Class session 4 will be conducted off site at St. Raymond’s School in Menlo Park. While the focus of the lesson is to work with a SmartBoard, other parts of the course will be covered at that time. Your attendance is expected at every course meeting.
As topics arise I will answer questions in class, and online, so please do your best to check the course information as we go ahead. And as always, please email me with any questions you may have.
Welcome to the final class of the semester for EDU4113! Today we will celebrate the amazing work you have completed over the past five weeks. When you have completed all of the parts of your project, please notify the instructor so that he will mark your name as “completed” on the list. Once you are done, please read, review and evaluate the other students’ work on your list. The class is divided into sections so you will be required to read and evaluate only some of your colleague’s work. [Feel free to look at all of the projects.]
ASSIGNMENT:
When you are finished reviewing and evaluating everyone’s work, please post your thoughts on your blog about this process: creating work digitally, publishing results and interacting online with the content of your subject. I will read the blog entries and verify that you have reviewed everyone’s work in a few days.
Also, BE SURE AND CHECK THE RESULTS OF YOUR SURVEY, by logging on to SurveyMonkey and looking at the results. Your final commentary must include a reflection of the feedback provided to you by others in the class.
The 4th class session will meet at St. Raymond’s School in Menlo Park at 6:30 pm, our normal meeting time. [MAP]. Please park in the main parking lot, not the small lot adjacent to the school along Arbor Road. Please feel free to arrive a little early if you wish more time with the smart board. Please bring your own laptop with you to be able to work during class.
